RYAN X. MESSCHER
Composer for Films and Video Games

about
Hello!
I'm Ryan X. Messcher, and I am a composer for films and video games.
I got my start in music at age eight, when I first dipped my toes into drum kit lessons; I've never looked back! In middle school, I arranged a piece for our concert band, and by high school, I knew I wanted to be a film composer! Thanks to the dutiful encouragement of Evan Cadavieco, Jared Bloch, and other heroes of public education, I was fortunate to have many outlets for composition at a young age. I am particularly fond of "I Need A Vocation," my original comedy musical performed by our very own drama department.
At Berklee College of Music, I met and studied with some incredible industry professionals, such as Sheldon Mirowitz, Claudio Ragazzi, and Duncan Watt. I found my time at Berklee's Film Scoring Department to be invaluable, instilling in me a focus on storytelling above all else.
These days, I spend my time as a proud BMI composer under my publishing company, MesscherMUSIC. I remain committed to delivering quality work on time and on spec. Feel free to check out some of the awesome projects I've had the pleasure of working on! ⬇️

listen
Fast-paced track with moody harmony and heavy synths.
Jazzy saxophone gives this upbeat
cue a classic spy feeling.
Gorgeous live strings slowly build in intensity and tension.
Dynamic piano and strings flow through dense, sensitive chords.
Lush textures give off a warm feeling in this broad, orchestral selection.
Ethereal synth pads move from chord to chord in this ambient piece.
